We offer several types of classes to fit every budget and time frame.

Mixed Media Mosaic Classes

Learn to use all materials; glass, tile, marbles, and found objects, to create one of a kind mosaic art.

All classes include:

• tools and materials necessary to complete one mosaic project (a maximum total of 150 square inches included, any overage will be charged at the rate of .11 cents per square inch)
• Course instruction materials
• Complimentary copy of "Mosaics for the first time" by the instructor and author, Reham Aarti Jacobsen
• Unlimited studio time to finish your project
The Details
• Classes are from 6:00pm to 8:00pm (new students must attend only the first "lecture" class).
• Fee is $128 and is due before the week of the start of the first class
• Once you have completed the lecture on the first night, you are free to work on your piece any time you'd like that we are open, not only on Wednesday nights!

Classes are held at Mosaic Essential (5123 N Sawyer Ave.). Payment is due one week before class night in order to hold you place in class. Call Reham no w to schedule your class: 377-5444 or register online here

Mini Classes

• A mini grout class: We give you the basic outline of how to grout, about grout, and answer any questions, with handouts. 30 minutes $25
• One on one quick class: We will taylor this to your schedule one day, weekend, etc.. Same as regular class just re-arranged to fit yoru schedule. $130 per person or $115 or 4 or more people.

McCall Classes

• Same as the basic class, but held over a weekend. Lecture and mosaic on Saturday, grouting on Sunday.
• $135 per person.

Advanced Smalti Class

For students that have completed a basic mosaic class, we offer a full smalti project. You will use smalti to create a mosaic, using wheel nippers and/or a hammer and hardi. All materials are included in this 6 week course beginning Thursday April 12th at 5:30pm. Class is $98 due by april 5th to hold space.

Who we are

We are Mosaic Essential, Boise's only...

Full service mosaic supplier - we offer tessera, adhesive, tools, grout and bases.

Walk in workshop - we have space available to come in hang out and make mosaics, either alone or with a friend, with a mosaic artist to help you.

Active studio - when you join us at mosaic essential you will have the chance to watch some of Boise's own mosaic artists at w ork, because the shop acts as a working studio for Reham Aarti Jacobsen and several other local artists.

Gallery - We also have mosaic art for sale from many local artists.
